Terms & Conditions (updated Nov 2018)

Lessons are sold by the term - think of the cost being for reserving the teacher/s time rather than just for receiving the lesson.    New students however, if you begin after the start of term, we will pro rata the cost.

Notice is required if you are unable to attend your lesson.     Notify by 11 am on the day of the lesson or make up is forfeited.   Make ups for missed lessons do not carry into any subsequent term.    All make ups are subject to availability and are strictly limited to one per term.  Make ups are not available to students who have 1 hour lessons as it is almost impossible to reschedule a long lesson.   While Music Makers will make every effort to schedule a make-up time to suit you, make-up lessons, once arranged, are deemed to have been taken.

In the event of an accident or long-term illness, credits will be given at Music Makers' discretion.

Music Makers requires 2 weeks' notice if you wish to discontinue lessons (other than end of year). If you do not give notice of discontinuing, you will be charged for two lessons in lieu of notice.  Lessons carry from term to term without confirmation but not from year to year.   When you advise that you are unable to attend a lesson, that would be a good time for you to organise the make up. We will do our best to offer you a make up with your usual teacher, but this cannot always be achieved, especially towards the end of term. We will not chase you to make up your missed lesson, nor will it be refunded or carried into the following term.

It is necessary to re-book for a new year. This can be done any time from the beginning of Term 4.

In the event that your regular teacher is unavailable for a lesson, every effort will be made to find a replacement teacher.

If there is any part of this that you don't understand, please feel free to ask!

ATTENDANCE AT YOUR FIRST LESSON INDICATES THAT YOU ACCEPT OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
